The Shoorah Box vintage fashion service smashes funding target, launching in November

The Shoorah Box, an independent vintage fashion subscription service has secured launch funding through the Natwest Back Her Business initiative.

The Shoorah Box is a β€œvintage gift and subscription box service which aims to encapsulate the style and energy of the 60s and 70s, with a twist,” and was founded by Harriet Dakin.

β€œCombining creatively curated vintage items with exciting limited edition collaborations, The Shoorah Box looks to create a spotlight and a unique advertising platform for makers, creators, and small owners within the vintage community,” she commented.

To help launch the service Dakin applied for the Natwest Back Her Business Fund, an initiative where the bank matches the money raised through a crowdsourcing platform.

The Shoorah Box cruised past its initial target and secured enough day-one funding to roll out six months of product. With this initial cash injection locked in, the service is set for a November launch – with the first pre orders going live on 1 November.

β€œI am SO excited to reveal The Shoorah Box’s FIRST product: The 70s-tastic funkadelic groovy as hell platform boot Christmas stockings, a collaboration with the wonderful @pennysanford and made from the most sparkly glitter felt in existence (starry eyes emoji) The designs are being finalised this week and I can’t wait to shoot and upload them. Proud moment alert!”
