The original Brighton vegan pizza spot, Purezza has been named the top plant-based restaurant in the city.
Purezza has been named Brighton’s best vegan restaurant in the 2020 Brighton Restaurant Awards (Bravo).
Announcing the award – sponsored by Veeg – Bravo organisers commented: “With the growing popularity of plant based living and dozens of incredible local restaurants serving fantastic vegan options, the award for Plant Champions was an extremely competitive category. The public voted en masse and crowned Purezza the plant champs of Brighton. Bravo!”
Purezza has been a mainstay of the Brighton vegan food scene since doors opened on its first Kemptown location, and now counts a sister site in Hove as well as premises further afield in Camden and Bristol amongst its portfolio.
Further expansion is also on the cards, with owners recently securing some heavyweight funding to broaden its brick-and-mortar presence and bring its revolutionary vegan cheese to supermarket shelves.
Whilst we do indeed love it, appreciation of the restaurant is not confined solely to the vegan scene, with the Purezza Parmigiana Party being crowned the best around at the World Pizza Championships in 2019. The proof really is in the pizza.
