Food: Really Happy Chicken moves to West Street

Brighton vegan food heroes, Really Happy Chicken have moved to a new premises on West Street.

Really Happy Chicken, Brighton’s first vegan fried chicken shop, has moved to a bigger and better premises on West Street.

Having previously taken up residence on Preston Street the plant-based legends have taken a big stride further into the heart of the city.

Locals and visitors alike can now get their hands round the best vegan fried chicken in the city on the stroll from the station to the sea. Opposite the clock tower and tucked right next to Itsu, the new location places Really Happy Chicken slap bang in the centre of Brighton.

Announcing the move, Really Happy Chicken said:

“Hiiii from West Street!! (waving emoji) It’s official and we are NOW OPEN in our new location! Yiewwww. Haven’t properly unpacked, but that doesn’t stop us!

Business as usual here at RHC. You can come in and say hey and grab a takeaway or order with your favourite delivery apps. To celebrate our new location UberEats are giving you £8 off when you spend £20!!”

Despite opening in a global pandemic Really Happy Chicken has gone from first day seitan shortages to a position of prominence in a short space of time. A first-class social presence, continual menu additions, and most importantly, really, properly, delicious food has made the name synonymous with treating yourself in these tough times.

From its signature chicken, to plant-based burgers, brilliant fries, mac n cheez, shakes and sweet treats, Really Happy Chicken is far more than a fried chicken joint, it is a top-to-toe culinary hug that is sometimes covered in gravy if you so wish. Result.
