Poems By Post is a subscription-based poetry delivery project highlighting the creativity of independent artists.

The Brighton-based Poems By Post project began in the despairing depths of 2020 as a means to share the indefatigable creativity in our world, and bring a little inspiration to people’s doorsteps in the most trying of times.

Each month Poems By Post commission a new poem from a different grassroots poet. The team then type that poem out on a typewriter (many times!) to post to subscribers, alongside artwork inspired by the poem.

Each monthly poem is accompanied by an email featuring a video recital, and an introduction to the artists themselves.

To date the project has supported 70 different artists and inspired hundreds of people around the world to reconnect with their own creativity.
