5 spooky Halloween events happening in Brighton

It is the spookiest time of the year – Halloween weekend. We have rounded up 5 of the best events hitting the city including DnB raves, psych-disco gigs, and the return of the best emo night around.

1. The Hope and Ruin – Ghoul Ranch – Saturday 30th

The best punk/emo/general grunger night on the south coast is back for its Halloween shindig.

That’s right, the Dude Ranch DJs have risen from the dead for the first time since 2019, and this time it’s spooky.

We’re talking My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, AFI, Good Charlotte, and heaps more.

Ghoul Ranch is running from 11pm-3am in the upstairs venue. Meanwhile in the downstairs bar, guest DJs will be spinning all manner of spooky tunes all night.

Free entry.

2. The Cowley Club – Goth vs Trash Halloween Soundclash – Saturday 30th

From 8pm DJs Maxiglyde and Juiced Monster will be going back to back to bring you a wild night of top quality goth tunes and 80s/90s Euro trash music.

This will not be your average Halloween night out, but it will be an absolute ripper.

The Goth vs Trash Halloween Soundclash will be running straight through to 2am.

Free entry.

3. The White Rabbit – Halloween weekender – Friday to Sunday

The White Rabbit is keeping things spooky all weekend for those that just really love hearing The Monster Mash played in pubs.

On Friday night the pub will have DJs spinning Halloween-themed tunes from 9pm-1am, meaning The White Rabbit will be the place to turn your post-work drinks all scary.

Saturday will bring with it a 80s vs 90s Halloween party, which doesn’t sound particular festive, but will no doubt be chock full of bangers.

Then should you be able to stomach one more day of Halloween, the White Rabbit will be slinging bloody mary’s and roasts all Sunday before rounding the whole affair off with a Halloween quiz at 7pm, and DJs until 1am.

Free entry.

Volks – Halogenix / Cabarave – Friday & Saturday

The mighty mighty Volks is hosting a DnB/Jungle smash up to kick off Halloween weekend.

On Friday night The club will have two rooms featuring DJs bang on the forefront of modern drum and bass.

Everyone’s favourite all night spot will have Halogenix, Hydroglifics, Sabrina, Threats, Tusk, and more bringing the party vibes from 11pm-7am.

Down at Volks the party doesn’t stop, and on Saturday Cabarave will be smashing into town. The rave seance is to be headlined by Eva Lazarus and Gardna, whilst the Bristol Donk Collective will be bringing the ruckus in room two.

Once more it will be running 11pm-7am for the true living dead.
