Brighton dream-pop specialists, Nature TV, have released their latest single – the effortless, velvety cool ‘You & Me’.
Brighton dream-pop specialists Nature TV share new cut ‘You and Me’, arriving 26 February via indie label Nice Guys (T Evann, Ralph TV, Butter Bath).
Straddling a line between the hazy suburbia of Real Estate and the waterside stillness of Nick Drake, the band’s latest offering sees them hone in on their ‘indie-pop’ sound, masterfully crafting a crescendo of effortlessly silky guitars and tender, dreamy vocals to perfection.
The track flows through its 3:45 run time with a sense of easy effortlessness, a testament to the band’s control of open moments and deliberate pacing. Meandering but never boring, structured but never contrived, You & Me slinks to its crescendo with the natural cool and effortless soul of rose-tinted 70s retrospection.

With contemplative nostalgia and a histotrophic soundtrack of faded relationships, uncertainty and heartbreak taking centre stage throughout their music, the rising quartet are well-placed to capitalise on last year’s acclaimed ‘Lady Luck’ EP, having become a firm favourite amongst key industry gatekeepers (DIY, Dork, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Gigwise), earned support across Spotify playlisting and BBC Radio 1 airwaves (Huw Stephens). Opening for the likes of Swimming Tapes and Trudy and the Romance, the foursome caught the eye of booking giants ITB, signing to them in January 2021.
Discussing the group’s upcoming single, frontman Guy Bangham stated: “You and Me is a track which seems fitting for the moment, as it’s all about longing to be with the person you’re always thinking about, even if the relationship you’re missing is an imagined or dreamed version of it. Just would be nice to have no problems, you can just hang out, go places and be happy I guess.”
Nature TV is Guy Bangham (vocals, guitar), Josh Eriskin (bass), James Hunt (lead guitar/dv) and Zal Jones (drums)
